Millstone Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
The Short Version
Millstone collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, no third-party analytics, and no ads. Your location never leaves your device.
Your Location
Millstone uses your location to show where you are on the map, to tell you how far it is to the next turn, and to warn you when you have left the route. This happens entirely on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Your location is never sent to me or to anyone else.
Apple Health
With your permission, Millstone saves each walk to Apple Health as a workout, so it counts towards your activity. Health data is stored by Apple on your device and is governed by your Health settings, which let you change or withdraw that permission at any time. Millstone does not send Health data anywhere.
What the App Stores
- On your device: the maps and walking routes that come with the app, and any GPX routes you choose to import.
Network Requests the App Makes
None. The maps and routes are bundled with the app, so Millstone works with no network connection at all.
What the App Does Not Do
- No account or sign-up of any kind
- No collection of your name, email, location, or contacts
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising or ad identifiers
- No selling or sharing of data — there is no data to sell
Changes
If a future version of the app changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the date at the top revised.
